Ms. Vincent joined Buford Middle School in 2021 with 18 years of School Counseling experience. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Syracuse University, a Master of Social Work from the State University of New York, and her Ed.S. in Professional School Counseling from the University of Georgia.
She wants to help provide students and families with tools both in and out of the classroom that can help students reach their full potential.

Mrs. Lisa Winter
School Counselor
7th Grade
Mrs. Winter worked as a Middle School Counselor for 10 years in Gwinnett County before she began at Buford Middle School in 2014. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Alabama, her M.Ed in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University, and her Ed.S. in Professional School Counseling from the University of Georgia.
Middle school students are her passion and she enjoys connecting with students and helping them overcome obstacles that may impede their academic and social/emotional success.

Mrs. Kathy Childers
School Counselor
8th Grade
Mrs. Childers served as a School Counselor for 7 years in Hall County before joining Buford Middle School in 2015. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Lee University, her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, and her Ed.S. in Professional School Counseling from the University of Georgia.
She enjoys working with all students and helping them develop healthy coping skills and make positive decisions in order to be successful both in school and life.
